Kelly Fanning is an Academic Advisor in the Office for Academic & Pre-Professional Advising at UMBC. She graduated with her B.A. in Communication Studies from Clemson University and her M.Ed. in Student Development Administration from Seattle University. Kelly primarily advises undeclared students and serves as the advisor for the Pre-Physical Therapy Society. She is passionate about helping students discover how their identity and values intersect with their academic pathway, as well as how to take a proactive role in their university experience. She is also an avid supporter of study abroad. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her family, friends and dog Rocky.
