How do I plan for my transfer to a 4-year institution?

Gateway courses and academic policies (e.g., course repeat policies)
Articulation (the way courses transfer between 2-year and 4-year institutions)
- State-wide articulation systems (ARTSYS)
- Articulation agreements between particular institutions
- Use Transfer Central to explore how your credits will transfer and how much progress you’ve already made toward a degree at UMBC. (Be sure to create a login so you will be able to save your profile and discuss your progress at future advising appointments)

Programs and resources:
- Special programs (such as Transfer Student Alliance)
- Scholarship/financial aid programs and professional/student organizations (e.g., Tau Sigma National Honor Society, Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, Phi Theta Kappa, Society of Women Engineers, Merit Scholarships)
