Launching the NEW Major Event App

IMPORTANT: Please review the ‘Getting Started’ section before proceeding with downloading the app.

Getting Started
  1. Select your mobile app store, scan the QR code to get to your mobile app store, or navigate directly to the web version of the app (no download needed).
  2. Once in your respective app store, download UMBC Event Guidebook (iOS image below). You must sign in using your UMBC CREDENTIALS (i.e. @umbc.edu email) to be granted access to The Major Event app! Adjust the settings for UMBC Event Guidebook to “Allow Pop Ups” to ensure the initial UMBC login page loads properly
  3. Select The Major Event app icon. The event code is: OCT2025.  (Note: These login steps are just for initial user authentication. UMBC Event Guidebook will automatically open inside The Major Event app next time.)
  4. “Allow Notifications” in your app settings to receive live alerts from The Major Event…don’t miss out on a raffle drawing!
  5. That’s it! Happy [Cyber]Space Exploration!
