Kelly Fanning is a part-time academic advisor in the Office for Academic & Pre-Professional Advising at UMBC. She graduated with her B.A. in Communication Studies from Clemson University and her M.Ed. in Student Development Administration from Seattle University. Kelly primarily advises undeclared and pre-physical therapy students. She also has taught IHU during the fall semester. She is passionate about helping students discover how their passions and values intersect with their academic pathway, as well as how to take a proactive role in their university experience. Outside of the OAPA, Kelly is a lover of nature – happiest when hiking, camping, or tending to her plants/garden. She loves exploring/going on weekend adventures with her husband and two young children…always with coffee in hand.
